Provides transportation services to human service agencies and the general public by operating vehicles requiring the use of an active commercial driver's license with passenger endorsement and Department of Transportation Medical Certification.

Title: Transportation Driver

Reports To: Operations Manager
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Duties and Responsibilities:

Drives vehicles requiring the use of commercial driver’s license with a passenger endorsement on designated schedules to transport passengers to and from destination.

Monitors and reports status and needs of the vehicles for maintenance and safe operation

Maintains first aid supplies, bodily fluid spill clean up supplies, and fire suppression equipment on the vehicles.

Records mileage, number of passengers, times, and other required information on forms.

Assists passengers with seat belts, getting in and out of vehicles as needed and required.

Operates a wheel chair lift and assists the passenger.

Possession of a valid North Carolina commercial driver's license with passenger endorsement, DOT medical certification.
