 Since 1983, the North Carolina Senior Games has been inspiring adults 50 and better to stay active, healthy, and socially connected—all year long. Today, over 60,000 participants across all 100 counties take part in 53 local programs, enjoying a fun mix of friendly competition, creative expression, and community spirit.

The Johnston County Senior Games (JCSG) & SilverArts program continues this tradition right here at home! Sanctioned by North Carolina Senior Games, our year-round program isn’t just about competing—it’s about embracing an active, creative, and connected lifestyle. Since 1987, we’ve celebrated the energy, talent, and camaraderie of seniors through both athletic and artistic opportunities.

Get Moving!
From Basketball Shooting, Bocce, Bowling, Cornhole, and Football Throw, to Golf, Horseshoes, Mini Golf, Pickleball, Shuffleboard, Swimming, and Track & Field, our athletic events offer something for everyone. Participants compete in age divisions from 50–54 all the way to 100+, with medals awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place—and the chance to advance to the North Carolina State Senior Games each fall.

Show Your Creative Side!
The SilverArts program is where seniors let their imagination shine! Categories include Literary Arts (essays, poetry, and more), Visual Arts (photography, painting, and crafts), Heritage Arts (woodworking, crochet, and traditional skills), and Performing Arts (dance, music, comedy, and drama). Talents are celebrated at the annual SilverArts Showcase and Gala, giving every participant a stage to shine.
